Studying in China usually follows six steps: choose, prepare, apply, get admitted, visa, enroll.

1. Choose a School & Major

Pick based on HSK level, budget and interests. Consider "Double First-Class" universities and strong TCSOL programs; many offer English-taught degrees.

2. Prepare Documents

Typically: highest diploma and transcripts (notarized/verified), passport, language proof (HSK or English), personal statement, recommendation letters, medical form and photos.

3. Apply

Submit via the university website or the official Study in China portal (studyinchina.csc.edu.cn). Deadlines often fall between January and May.

4. Admission & Visa

After receiving the admission letter (JW201/JW202), apply for an X1 (long-term) or X2 (short-term) student visa, then travel and register.
